Valerie Jones

Valerie Jones was born in Adelaide, South Australia in 1942.

After marrying and having three children, she started painting in Victoria in 1973 under several well-known teachers, including Douglas Baulch and Colin Waddington, and studied gouache with Jessica Zemsky Hienze and Jack Hienze in Montana, USA.

In 1992, Valerie undertook a painting and study tour of Paris and the south of France with twenty artists from Australia.

Valerie has received a number of major awards and has been represented throughout Australia and overseas. She has been a long-standing member of the Macedon Ranges Artist's Guild and a signatory member of the Victorian Arts Society.
