Leanne Stewart HaughLeanne Stewart Haugh is a Northern Rivers artist who has studied locally and exhibited in group exhibitions though out Northern NSW and also in Brisbane.

"My art is an exploration of the creation of metaphor. I aim to create a space of memory and an experience of place for the viewer. My works emerge somewhere between abstraction and representation, to provoke a sense of discovery and engagement with notions of belonging and place. Many of my works … explore the intersections of time, memory and place. The works depict places of significance in the landscape, natural monuments that invoke "memories" and elicit response in the viewer. They are intended to evoke musings on those who have passed through the landscape, provoking a moment of recognition of place, forming a dialogue of shared memory between artist and viewer.
