Three decades … a survey of the visual arts work of AñA Wojak
Early in 2013
AñA has been an Archibald Prize finalist four times, and in the Salon des Refuse twice. She has also been a Portia Geach Portrait Prize finalist three times. In 1995 her work was included in "Don't Leave Me This Way — Art in the age of AIDS" at the National Gallery, Canberra. She has been a finalist in Sculpture by the Sea four times, winning an Honourable Mention in 2000. In the same year she was awarded first prize in the Skygarden Art Prize and the Unpacker's Award in the Norvill Art Prize. She has been a Blake Prize finalist five times and was the 2004 winner of the Prize.

AñA Wojak
AñA Wojak is multi-disciplinary artist working with painting, assemblage, site-specific installation and performance. Australian born, she studied in Gdansk, Poland amid the turmoil of Solidarity and Martial Law, and has been practicing for over 30 years.AñA has been an Archibald Prize finalist four times, and in the Salon des Refuse twice. AñA continues to blur the lines between installation and performance with her ongoing projects: songline and stepping stones, which will conclude in 2012 in Eastern Europe. “Songline” has appeared in Java (undisclosed territories 2007), Central Australia (Alice Desert Festival 07), Sydney Royal Botanic Gardens (2008) and Shanghai (Intrude366, Zendai MoMA 2008), as well as Melbourne (time, transcendance & performance 2010) and returning to Sydney (Hidden Rookwood Necropolis 2011). Stepping Stones has passed through Shanghai, Vladivostok and Kraskino (2010).
Her work is in private collections internationally as well as public collections including Artbank and Sydney Royal Botanic Gardens Trust.
AñA has lived and worked in the Lismore region of NSW for the past several years.
