A Group Exhibition

Various artists from Northern Rivers NSW plus a couple of SE Quensland
February - March, 2015
Works of art that “say something” and connect to the viewer on some level - other than a pretty picture that matches the curtains! It’s about notions of beauty, the intent of the artist, striking an emotional chord, technique and execution and looking beyond technique and execution to the layers of resonance that art can convey to a receptive human.

This is not intended to be overly esoteric or conceptually ambiguous, although it there may be a little challenge for the viewer, in some cases. It won’t be about just selling stuff to please. Although, selling stuff would be great! We can’t just be about that, despite the realities of being here and doing what we do.

We have to be here for artists with an authentic ‘voice’ and artistic practice too. That’s where the richness in the Arts lies. It is those artworks that will live longest in the memory and people’s homes - when they do eventually purchase, if they do.

The exhibition is still only a small sample of the artistic talent that we have here in Northern Rivers and our other sources in South-East Queensland, but we think it’s a pretty good representation!

Artists will include Lindsay Hunt, Glenis Gray, Greg Mallyon, Susan Gourley, Theodore Kennett-Raj, Steven Giese, Heather Matthew, Dave Kill, AñA Wojak, Jane Canfield, Shaun C Murphy, Ross McMaster, Julie Corbet, Imbi Davidson and many more.

February through to March, 2015.
